We're looking for you to give our guests the best service and taste experience and to always serve the most delicious cup! As a retail sales associate/barista, you have an important role where our guest is always in focus. You contribute to creating an oasis at Norrland University Hospital, where our guests can find their everyday luxury. Beyond handling the coffee machine, grinder, and refreshment service, the work also includes daily operations of the Coffee Shop. Tasks include actively driving sales, cash handling, orders, unpacking, merchandise display, etc. We are also active on our Instagram @kahls.nus where you are expected to contribute. We are currently looking for a new colleague as retail sales associate/barista at Kahls Coffee Shop at Norrland University Hospital Umeå. As a person, you are positive, engaged, driven, and social. Regarding the position: Fixed-term employment at 15h/week. The employment runs until 2026-12-23. Great opportunity for increased hours during the period, and extension of the position may also be relevant in spring 2027. Work shifts are scheduled: Monday 13.00-17.15 Tuesday 10.30-17.15 Wednesday 13.00-17.15 Work shifts may change if operational needs change. Mandatory monthly staff meeting after closing. Employment will begin in mid-August with 2 weeks of onboarding (Monday-Friday). Beyond the contracted hours, additional work shifts/hours may be added as needed with short notice. Shop hours are weekdays Monday-Friday 06.15-17.15. Solo work may occur during certain periods and times. About us: At Kahls Coffee Shop Umeå NUS, we meet many guests daily which contributes to a fast pace. We provide our guests with knowledge about coffee, tea, licorice, and confectionery. We offer coffee and refreshment service in the shop and have the hospital's best coffee! When our guests walk through the doors of Norrland University Hospital, our cozy Coffee Shop stands out from the crowd. Together with our guests, we have created an oasis at the hospital. In our Coffee Shop, guests are always greeted by the aroma of freshly ground coffee and tea with an inviting atmosphere. We focus on quality and here you'll find an entire wall with different teas and coffee beans from around the world, ready to grind. The shelves are well-stocked with other products related to coffee, tea, chocolate, and licorice. Our staff are knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and genuine.
