Are you passionate about exceptional service, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and delivering an experience beyond the ordinary? Queen's Gelateria & Café has quickly become a beloved gem with one of Stockholm's highest ratings among ice cream bars.
We're expanding and seeking 1–2 dedicated team members! In addition to our popular artisanal gelato and coffee, we're now introducing fresh salads and delicious sandwiches. We're looking for someone who wants to be our face to customers and continue delivering world-class service to our regulars and new visitors.
What roles are we hiring for?
We're seeking candidates for two different arrangements:
Flexible part-time/Weekdays: For you who can work both weekdays and weekends with high flexibility.
Weekend extra/Student: For you who are studying and looking for a rewarding side job primarily on weekends.
The position starts as an hourly position with excellent opportunities to quickly transition to part-time (up to approximately 50%, possibly more) for the right person. Start immediately.
About the role and responsibilities
In this role, you have great responsibility and trust, as much of the work is done independently. Your main tasks include:
Serve and scoop gelato and sorbet with an eye for presentation and quality.
Brew and create espresso-based coffee drinks with precision.
Prepare and sell fresh salads and sandwiches.
Active sales, upselling, and engaging guest conversations – you recommend flavor combinations with pride and joy!
Cash and payment handling.
Opening and closing the location, including alarm management and daily routines.
Ensuring a clean, inviting, and spotless environment according to current food safety standards.
Who are you?
We place great value on your personality, energy, and commitment to guest satisfaction:
Experience: You have previous experience from a café, strong barista skills, and experience with basic food preparation (sandwiches/salads).
Meritorious: Experience scooping, presenting, and selling artisanal ice cream is a big plus!
A warm salesperson: You are outgoing, social, and enjoy building relationships and talking with guests.
Self-motivated and reliable: Since you often work alone, we need you to be punctual, responsible, stress-resilient, and confident in making your own decisions.
Languages: Good knowledge of both Swedish and English (additional languages are a plus).
Age: You must be at least 18 years old (due to working alone, alarm responsibilities, and potential future alcohol service).
