Jelgava City Municipality institution "Jelgava City Guardian Court" Guardian Court Chair Position competition (1 vacancy for an indefinite period) Job Duties Description: 1. lead and organize the Guardian Court's work in accordance with the Guardian Court Law and other regulatory acts; 2. ensure timely, lawful, and quality examination of Guardian Court cases and decision-making; 3. chair Guardian Court sessions and participate in case examination; 4. organize and supervise the Guardian Court personnel's work and professional development; 5. represent the Guardian Court in relations with municipality institutions, courts, and other agencies; 6. ensure the Guardian Court's operations comply with regulatory requirements and good governance principles; 7. promote cooperation with institutions in the field of child protection and guardianship rights. Requirements for Applicants: 1. Citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; 2. at least 30 years of age; 3. obtained at least an academic master's degree or professional master's degree and 5th level professional qualification, or other qualification corresponding to the European Qualifications Framework level 7 as defined in Latvia's education classification, in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work or legal sciences, education management or public management; 4. minimum five years of work experience in the relevant field of acquired education or in performing the duties of Guardian Court Chair, Guardian Court Chair Deputy, or Guardian Court Member; 5. not subject to the restrictions set out in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law; 6. preference will be given if the applicant has completed the specialized training program required for the Guardian Court Chair position; 7. state language at the highest level; 8. impeccable reputation; 9. good communication, emotional resilience, and cooperation skills; 10. good computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office programs and web browsers. Application Documents: 1. motivated application not exceeding one A4 page; 2. description of life, work, and professional experience (CV), indicating work periods, education level, job duties, language skills, as well as skills in working with digital tools and information communication technologies; 3. copies of documents confirming education in one copy (for applicants who obtained education abroad, a document on academic recognition of education in Latvia must be attached); 4. certification that the applicant is not subject to the restrictions set out in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law and meets the requirements set out in Article 10 of the Guardian Court Law (Appendix 2); 5. certification of consent to personal data (references) processing (Appendix 3); 6. proof of state language proficiency for applicants whose native language is not Latvian.
