Saldus Municipality (Reg. No. 90009114646) invites applications for the position of Chair of the Guardianship Board
Requirements for candidates:
a Master's degree in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work, law, education management, or public administration;
at least 5 years of work experience in the relevant field of obtained education or as Chair, Vice-Chair, or member of the Guardianship Board;
proficiency in the state language at the highest level;
citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia;
impeccable reputation;
no restrictions specified in points 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Article 11 of the Guardianship Board Law;
emotional stability and ability to make objective decisions in complex situations;
practical skills in personnel and financial management, and business administration;
excellent knowledge of sectoral legislation and regulatory acts;
excellent ability to work, plan, and organize work both individually and in a team;
ability to collect, systematize, and analyze large volumes of information;
excellent computer skills, knowledge and understanding of various modern technologies used in daily work.
Key responsibilities:
ensure the operation of the Guardianship Board in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory acts of the Republic of Latvia, the Guardianship Board Law, and the Regulations of Saldus Municipality's Guardianship Board;
represent the Guardianship Board in administrative and judicial institutions, as well as in relations with natural and legal persons;
review residents' submissions, complaints, and suggestions, and ensure the preparation of responses to them;
consult residents on matters within the competence of the Guardianship Board;
prepare and conduct meetings of the Guardianship Board;
participate in inspections of minors' living conditions, preparation and resolution of matters;
perform other duties provided for in the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations, municipal council decisions, and the Guardianship Board Regulations;
ensure the lawfulness of the Guardianship Board's operations and the performance of assigned tasks;
ensure the rational use of the Guardianship Board's financial resources and the efficient use of other resources in accordance with the tasks being performed.
