Valmieras novada pašvaldība (hereinafter – the Municipality) invites you to work as a Guardian Court member (turpmāk – Guardian Court) of Valmieras novada Guardian Court (for an indefinite period).
If you have the desire to:
• defend the rights and legal interests of children and persons under guardianship by reviewing submissions, complaints, and conducting fact-checking;
• take necessary actions to ensure a child's upbringing and proper care in a family environment;
• monitor cases in accordance with applicable regulations;
• prepare cases for review at Guardian Court sessions;
• represent children and persons with limited legal capacity in court and other institutions on matters within the Guardian Court's competence;
• receive visitors and provide consultations on Guardian Court matters;
• cooperate with other Guardian Courts, the Child Protection Center, long-term social care and social rehabilitation institutions, healthcare and educational institutions, social services, police, the State Probation Service, and court bailiffs to ensure the protection of rights and interests of children and persons under guardianship;
• maintain and work with databases, systems, and registers necessary for Guardian Court operations;
• perform other duties mentioned in the Guardian Court Law;
and if you have:
• compliance with the criteria specified in Article 10, Part 2 of the Guardian Court Law, and none of the restrictions specified in Article 11 of the Guardian Court Law apply to you;
• work experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage;
• knowledge and experience in matters of protecting the interests and rights of children and persons under guardianship;
• understanding of Guardian Court work organization and processes;
• excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office programs;
• a Category B driver's license;
• competencies: strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under increased intensity; ability to work with large volumes of information; ability to independently organize your work and work in a team; ability to make independent decisions; analytical skills; high sense of responsibility; accuracy; self-initiative and ability to seek and propose new solutions;
