the position of Member of Dienvidkurzemes novada Guardianship Court (Aizpute City)

Key duties of a Guardianship Court Member:
• Ensure the operation of the Guardianship Court in accordance with job responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and the Guardianship Court Regulations of Dienvidkurzemes novada;
• perform job duties according to the competence and powers specified in Chapter IV of the Guardianship Courts Law and the Chairman's directives;
• carry out activities and tasks in accordance with powers defined in regulatory acts and resolutions issued by the Chairperson within the area of responsibility;
• receive visitors within the area of responsibility and process/prepare documents within the framework of the Guardianship Court's administrative operations in accordance with document delegation and circulation procedures;
• perform the duties of the Chairperson of Guardianship Court sessions, draft Guardianship Court decisions in accordance with procedures and deadlines established in regulatory acts, as directed by the Court Chairperson;
• represent the Guardianship Court's interests in courts, perform attestations, and carry out notarial functions mentioned in the Guardianship Courts Law in accordance with the Chairperson's orders and issued authorizations.
Requirements for Guardianship Court Member candidates:
• Must be a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia;
• Must have reached 30 years of age;
• Must have obtained at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and Level 5 professional qualification, or other qualifications corresponding to European Qualification Framework Level 6 in the Latvia Education Classification in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work, law, education management, or public administration;
• Must have at least three years of work experience in the relevant field of acquired education or in performing the duties of Guardianship Court Chairperson, Guardianship Court Vice-Chairperson, or Guardianship Court Member;
• Must have proficiency in the state language at the highest level;
• Must have an unblemished reputation;
• Must not have obstacles mentioned in Article 11 of the Guardianship Courts Law to hold the position of Guardianship Court Member;
• Must demonstrate high sense of responsibility, good communication and cooperation skills;
• Must possess strategic and analytical thinking, ability to make decisions;
• Must have high stress tolerance and ability to work under conditions of increased intensity;
• Must have good skills working with Microsoft Office programs;
• Preference given to candidates who have completed the training program mentioned in the fourth part of Article 10 of the Guardianship Courts Law, who have experience in guardianship court work and child rights protection matters, and who have obtained a Category B driver's license.
We offer:
• Monthly salary EUR 1,250.00 gross.
• Type of employment: indefinite term, full-time.
• Social guarantees in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Work location: Avotu iela 2, Aizpute, Dienvidkurzemes novads.
• Guardianship Court Members hold official status.
