Dienvidkurzemes novads Municipality (registration No. 90000058625, address Lielā iela 54, Grobiņa, Dienvidkurzemes novads, LV-3430) announces a competition for Guardianship Court Member position in Dienvidkurzemes novads (Aizpute City) (occupational classification 3412 06) Main duties of a Guardianship Court Member: • Ensure the operation of the Guardianship Court in accordance with job duties, legal requirements, and the Dienvidkurzemes novads Guardianship Court regulations; • perform job duties in accordance with the requirements and powers established in Chapter IV of the Guardianship Court Law regarding court competence; • perform activities and tasks in accordance with powers defined in legal acts and resolutions issued by the chairperson within the respective jurisdiction; • receive visitors in the operational territory and process/prepare documents within the scope of the court's administrative procedures in accordance with document delegation and circulation procedures; • perform the duties of a session chairperson as directed by the court's chairperson, and formalize court decisions in accordance with procedures and deadlines established in legal acts; • represent the Guardianship Court's interests in courts, issue certifications, and perform notarial tasks mentioned in the Guardianship Court Law in accordance with the chairperson's orders and issued authorization; Requirements for Guardianship Court Member position candidates: • Must be a citizen or non-citizen of the Republic of Latvia; • Must have reached the age of 30; • Must have obtained at least an academic bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree and Level 5 professional qualification, or other qualifications corresponding to European Qualification Framework Level 6 as defined in Latvia's education classification, in pedagogy, psychology, medicine, social work, law, education management, or public administration; • Must have at least three years of work experience in the relevant subject area of acquired education or in fulfilling the duties of guardianship court chairperson, deputy chairperson, or court member; • Must have advanced proficiency in the state language; • Must have an unblemished reputation; • Must not have obstacles mentioned in Article 11 of the Guardianship Court Law for assuming this position; • Must demonstrate high sense of responsibility, good communication and cooperation skills; • Must have strategic and analytical thinking, and the ability to make decisions; • Must have high stress tolerance and ability to work under high-intensity conditions; • Must have good skills in working with Microsoft Office programs; • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the training program mentioned in Article 10, Part Four of the Guardianship Court Law, have experience in guardianship court work and child protection matters, and hold a Category B driver's license. We offer: • Monthly gross salary of 1,250.00 EUR. • Employment type: permanent position, full-time. • Social guarantees as defined in legal acts. • Work location: Avotu iela 2, Aizpute, Dienvidkurzemes nov. • The Guardianship Court Member holds official status.
