Our mortuary operations are spread across nine different locations in Scania and handle approximately 12,000 deceased individuals each year. The operations are conducted in Kristianstad, Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg, among others, and require close collaboration between our different locations. When handling the deceased, it is crucial to act with the highest integrity and respect, as we are dealing with sensitive and personal circumstances. Your primary placement will be at the mortuary in Kristianstad, but the position involves a clear regional responsibility. You will be the first substitute at other mortuaries in Scania and are expected to be able to step in and cover when operational needs require it. The position also involves traveling to other locations as needed to perform organ procurement procedures. This means you will regularly need to be prepared to travel, change workplaces for the day, and adapt to the operation's current needs. There may be situations where you need to adjust and work at another location with relatively short notice. Therefore, this is not a position for someone seeking a more predictable workday or a role where you always know where you will be working. We are looking for someone who is flexible, confident in your professional role, and has the ability to quickly adapt when circumstances change. You need to be able to take significant independent responsibility and feel equally comfortable working independently in Kristianstad as you do stepping in to support operations at another location. When not stationed at another location, Kristianstad is your permanent placement. Working hours are during daytime; Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Work on certain major holidays may occur. 1 position(s). DUTIES The work consists of general tasks within a mortuary, such as handling the deceased and assisting funeral directors. In your daily work, you will interact with healthcare personnel, funeral directors, religious organizations, and family members. Part of the work involves contact with various authorities, and it is very important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. The position includes a large portion of administrative tasks where you need to be comfortable using the computer as a work tool. The work is governed by routines and operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome applicants with good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing, as well as good computer proficiency. It is advantageous if you are trained as a nursing assistant and/or have documented experience working in a mortuary or performing autopsies. A Class B driving license is required. It is essential that you are meticulous about the quality of your work, that you adapt easily to changing circumstances, and can remain calm in stressful situations. It is important that you are able to properly handle the tasks you encounter in a mortuary. Some heavy lifting occurs, so the work can be physically demanding but above all very psychologically taxing. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are a calm and confident person with good interpersonal skills and strong collaboration abilities.
