Pool Attendant

Job Responsibilities As a pool attendant, you will have varied and meaningful work where you are a key person in guests' experiences. You are responsible for pool supervision, ensuring that the facility is clean, safe, and pleasant, and greeting our guests with professional and excellent service. You may also rotate these tasks with teaching swimming lessons or conducting water aerobics and water fitness classes, or cleaning the pool hall and changing rooms. Service and good customer care at our reception and throughout our facilities are an important part of your work. The Sports and Recreation Administration currently operates several swimming halls with more to come. The facilities in operation range from Hisingen with Lundby Bath and Kärra Swimming Hall to Angered Arena and Hammarsbad in the northeast to Askim Swimming Hall and Frölunda Bath in the southwest. You will be placed within one of our units. These facilities are places where we work together to inspire physical activity, strengthen public health, increase water familiarity and swimming proficiency, and create meaningful experiences for all visitors. One of our most important goals is to increase swimming proficiency and improved public health for Gothenburg residents. Our main target groups are school youth, sports associations, and those who in their daily lives are far from physical activity in various ways. Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evenings, and weekends. We are recruiting both permanent staff and substitutes for some of our facilities. Qualifications We are looking for you who are trained as a swimming instructor, lifeguard, or have other education in pools, fitness, and health that is deemed equivalent, and have completed upper secondary education. You have experience working in a swimming hall with service and customer care, good computer skills, and can navigate different IT systems. You need to speak Swedish well, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience working with children and young people or leading water training such as water aerobics/water fitness. Further, it is a merit if you have experience in facility maintenance and reception work. For this position, we place great importance on your personal qualities and skills. To thrive in the role of pool attendant with us, you take responsibility for your own and the team's shared work tasks. You have good customer service internally and externally, and a genuine interest in other people where you find solutions and want to help provide good service. You have good collaboration skills where you work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. At the same time, you have the ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment and take initiative without being dependent on others. Furthermore, you are confident and can balance different demands and remain calm in difficult situations. Terms In this recruitment, we will not request a personal letter as an application document.
