What you'll do with us
The team currently consists of a systems architect, a delivery lead, and several developers, and our shared mission is to design and develop solutions in AWS for all Axfood brands. We also build a competency network for AWS to support both our developer colleagues and Axfood IT as a whole in their cloud journey. You'll work closely with our sister team Cloud Centre of Excellence, which serves as an overarching governance unit for AWS solutions, and CloudOps, which operates and owns the platform.
We define our infrastructure in AWS as code primarily using SST, as well as Terraform and CDK. Code is version-controlled in Bitbucket and deployed via Bitbucket Pipelines. As a developer, this means you'll:
Develop new solutions with a focus on serverless technology. The languages and frameworks in our development environment are primarily JavaScript and TypeScript.
Further develop and improve the best practices that have evolved over the years around code quality, testing, security, and lifecycle management.
Continue exploring how AI and automation can streamline development work throughout the development lifecycle.
Work closely with your colleagues through pair programming, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Your team and workplace
You'll be part of our AWS group within the Central Systems Development group. We work on multiple parallel projects where the task drives the approach and collaboration. This means regular stand-ups, tasks described and coordinated in Jira, and documentation in Confluence.
Here you'll meet engaged, curious, and enthusiastic colleagues with shared responsibility for building really good solutions. We work according to a hybrid policy, with remote work when it suits the tasks and the team's deliverables, and we meet most of the week in person at the office at Torsplan.
More about you
You have a background in backend development in AWS and are curious about or already working with serverless technology. You have experience with JavaScript/TypeScript. The number of years is less important, but you've become confident in the craft of development and have been involved in creating system designs and solution proposals. You appreciate working in a team where you can contribute experience, perspective, and good working practices, while continuing to develop together with others.
You're curious about how new tools and working methods can make development simpler, more secure, and more efficient. You enjoy understanding how technology contributes to the business and are motivated by developing solutions that are used in business-critical processes.
Our working languages are Swedish and English, and we're looking for someone who is comfortable using both languages as working languages.
As a person and colleague, you have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with others, both within and outside your immediate team. You have the ability to see both the details and the bigger picture, and you translate ideas into practical solutions that work.
