Junior Fullstack Developer

Join a small tech team in central Stockholm where you'll work with Python, APIs, and data-driven solutions in a capital management business. This role is ideal if you're a newly graduated civil engineer or have up to three years of experience and want to develop broadly with significant responsibility and support from experienced colleagues. About the role As a backend developer, you'll develop and enhance internal applications, integrations, and data processes used daily in the business. The focus is on Python, API development, and data management. At the same time, the team works across the full stack, giving you the opportunity to work with frontend, databases, cloud services, and deployment processes. You'll work closely with the business and be involved in the entire process—from understanding a need to designing, developing, testing, and maintaining a working solution. Responsibilities The team develops and maintains several internal applications, data processes, and integrations. The solutions are used by different parts of the business and include web-based applications, APIs, databases, data warehouses, and automated workflows. Your responsibilities will include: developing applications and processes in Python building and enhancing APIs and integrations working with databases, data warehouses, and data flows developing and maintaining internal web-based applications translating business needs into technical solutions writing tests and contributing to a stable and sustainable codebase participating in planning, estimation, and technical discussions proactively managing maintenance and technical debt The team You'll become part of a small and experienced tech team where everyone has their own areas of responsibility but works closely together. The team has built much of the technical foundation the business uses today and has clear ownership of their solutions. As a new team member, you'll receive support from colleagues with extensive experience while gradually taking on your own responsibilities. The work is varied, giving you the opportunity to understand both the technology and the business behind what you build. Collaboration with other parts of the organization is an important part of the role, which means you need to be interested in understanding user needs and able to explain technical solutions clearly and simply. We're looking for someone who: Has completed a civil engineering degree in a relevant field Can demonstrate relevant hobby projects or experience, either from studies or relevant work experience Has a strong interest in data and software development Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English To thrive in this role, we believe you enjoy solving complex technical and data-related problems. You like working independently but appreciate collaborating with others across the organization. You're humble, communicative, and open to new ideas, driven by understanding the business's needs rather than just following predefined requirements. A genuine interest in financial markets is a plus. Previous experience in the financial sector is a merit but not a requirement. What matters most is that you're curious about the business and want to understand how technology and data can be used to create better solutions.
