Do you want to make a difference in someone's everyday life? Become a relief worker in the Functional Support activity area in Strängnäs Municipality. We're looking for you to work creating security, participation, and joy for people with disabilities or other special needs. The assignments vary, but what they have in common is that you'll contribute to a meaningful everyday life for another person! 3 position(s). WORK TASKS As a relief worker, you work in the home of the person with a disability so that the person's relatives can have time for their own activities or their siblings. As a relief worker, you take over care during the approved hours. Your job is varied and can include, for example, helping the person get dressed, warming up (pre-made) food and supporting the person while eating, helping with personal hygiene, and doing fun activities. You base your work on the interests and activities that relatives/the person has and wishes to do. This can be anything from playing board games, playing sports, going to the theater, having a coffee break, playing football, jumping on a trampoline, socializing, crafts, singing, making music, drawing, or reading a book. Assignments vary from multiple visits per week to one visit every other week, and you plan your schedule together with the person's relatives. Work shifts can be scheduled on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Being a relief worker in Strängnäs Municipality involves work of 15-20 hours per month. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who are/have: • upper secondary education • good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written • computer skills for handling journal systems, implementation plans, and recording your work hours in the personnel system. It is a merit if you have experience working with people with autism or experience from work within psychiatry/disability services (LSS). In some cases, there may be requirements for a male/female relief worker that we need to take into account. Your personal qualities are important to us. We see that you are attentive and responsive in contact with other people. You are flexible and creative with a respectful approach. We consider it important that you always keep the customer's interests and wishes in mind.
