Your responsibilities
Your most important task as a first-line manager is to be present for your employees and lead them in their daily work. With your energy and positive attitude, you are a role model for others. You are skilled at engaging employees to create commitment to the operations. Driving systematic quality work through, for example, quality groups and monitoring of operations is an important part of your daily work. In this operational role, you show decisiveness and act when needed, for example in challenging conversations with relatives or employees. Your success factors are listening and acknowledging to create safety and good communication.
You report to the unit manager who has overall responsibility for operations and finances. You are part of the management team consisting of the unit manager and department manager colleagues. We have continuous meetings with focus on both operational and strategic perspectives. You contribute your expertise in business development, strategic planning, and financial matters.
Your qualifications
You have the ability to lead employees through change processes, create safety in groups, and communicate clearly and trustfully. With a solution-focused approach, you see opportunities even in challenging situations. Your educational background is academic training with appropriate focus (such as nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, or behavioral scientist). You have experience working in health and care, social work, or another relevant field.
Perhaps you are ready to take the step into your first management role, or you already have experience leading and developing employees. It is good if you have knowledge of relevant legislation, as well as experience driving development and change work. It is also an advantage if you are comfortable working in digital systems and have an easy time learning new IT systems.

The health and care administration has department managers within four operational areas: Care and housing facilities and short-term services, home care and service housing, services for people with disabilities, and health and medical care. Our common focus is on development and change management as well as workforce planning to allocate resources in the best way.
