We are now recruiting a department manager who wants to lead and develop the Resource Department within Children and Education in Eslövs Municipality. This is a broad and strategic role with responsibility for operations that together create conditions for children and young people to receive the right support at the right time. You will have a key role in implementing the intentions of the new social services act into concrete operational development and sustainable working methods. As a department manager, you will be part of the administration's management group and report directly to the administration manager. Together with committed managers and employees, you will contribute to developing an operation that combines quality, legal certainty and a strong focus on preventive measures. Your Assignment As a department manager, you are responsible for leading, managing and developing the Resource Department based on politically decided goals, legislation and financial frameworks. You lead the operations through your managers and create conditions for sustainable leadership, high quality and good results. The assignment includes, among other things: leading and developing the Resource Department's operations through subordinate managers responsibility for operations, finance, work environment and personnel ensuring lawful and high-quality government action in the children and youth sector driving strategic operational development based on the intentions of the new social services act creating conditions for early, coordinated and preventive measures developing collaboration between social services, preschool, school, student health services, the region and other community actors representing the operations in dialogue with politicians, other administrations and external partners further developing joint operations and collaboration forms with other municipalities and Region Skåne Your Experience We are looking for someone who has: relevant higher education or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent several years of experience in management positions within social services experience leading other managers experience working in a politically governed organization experience with operations regulated by the social services act experience with government action in the children and youth sector experience with budget, personnel and operational responsibility It is particularly meritorious if you also have: experience with operational responsibility in the children and youth sector experience with transition work related to the new social services act experience leading large development and change initiatives experience with collaboration between social services, educational operations, the region and other community actors education in leadership, organizational development or change management Is This You? Salary between 65,000 to 77,000 depending on experience and responsibility. The final salary is determined individually and is based on a comprehensive assessment of your educational background, previous experience, and the area in which you have worked previously.
