The Care Administration is responsible for elderly care, healthcare, disability care, and individual and family services. Within the administration, approximately 600 employees work together to provide the municipality's residents with support, security, and quality care. This position covers the business areas of elderly care in regular housing, disability care, and the staffing unit. Within the area, there are approximately 10 unit managers who, together with their staff, carry out an important societal mission for the municipality's residents. As a department manager, you will be part of the administration's management team and report directly to the administration manager. You work according to the municipality's management model and collaborate with other operations to contribute to sustainable long-term development. We are facing an important development phase where we are strengthening our organization to meet future needs in regular housing, disability care, and staffing. We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference by creating structure, driving change, and building strong, well-functioning operations. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a department manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, budget, personnel, and work environment within the area. Your duties include: • Lead, coach, and develop subordinate managers • Drive and implement change and development initiatives • Ensure effective working methods, clear structures, and good quality • Manage budget, follow-up, and financial sustainability • Develop and ensure long-term and stable skills supply • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including political leadership • Identify areas for improvement and translate analyses into concrete actions QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • University degree, such as nursing, social work, or other education that the employer deems equivalent • Experience in a management position in municipal care/social administration with responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget • Ability to analyze financial results and take necessary measures to ensure balance between resources and assignments • Experience leading other managers • Experience working in a politically governed organization • Category B driver's license • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing It is beneficial if you have: • Experience leading change initiatives in complex organizations • Experience developing staffing or skills supply • Experience in efficiency or restructuring initiatives We place great importance on your personal qualities.
