As Department Manager you will have the opportunity to lead and develop the business together with an engaged team and in close collaboration with customers, organizers, the business community and Destination Jönköping. The role offers great opportunity to influence the business development, operations and future direction. About the Role As Department Manager for Jönköping Konsert & Kongress, you lead and develop the business with a focus on profitable growth, sales, customer satisfaction and employee development. You are responsible for budget, results, personnel and work environment, and you translate Elmia's strategy into clear goals and outcomes. The role combines strategic leadership with operational business work. The role involves close collaboration with Destination Jönköping, hotels, organizers and other external partners to develop Jönköping as a meeting destination and create attractive events for customers and visitors. You will take over a well-functioning department with experienced and engaged employees who have high expertise in their respective areas. The assignment is therefore not about building an operation from the ground up, but about continuing to develop, inspire and create the right conditions for the team's continued success. The assignment includes, among other things: Lead, coach and develop the team and take responsibility for personnel and work environment. Take responsibility for budget, results, sales and profitable growth. Develop the offering and follow up on occupancy and customer satisfaction. Work closely with selected customers, events and arrangements. Plan staffing and resources based on the business needs. Develop collaborations internally and externally, including with Destination Jönköping. Contribute to Elmia's sustainability efforts and vision of the world's greenest meeting place. This is a permanent position with Elmia AB based in Jönköping. A trial period may apply. You report to the Business Area Manager. Are You the One We're Looking For? We are seeking a business-driven, engaging and relationship-building leader who creates results through people, collaborations and business. You are clear and responsive, help others grow and are comfortable switching between long-term development and operational execution. We believe you have: Relevant university education or equivalent experience. Experience leading operations, employees and teams with personnel responsibility. Experience with budget, results and business responsibility. Experience in sales, business development or other customer-facing activities. Good ability to build trusting relationships and long-term collaborations. Ability to switch between strategic and operational work, and preferably experience in project management. Very good Swedish and English as well as good system knowledge, preferably in business and CRM systems. B driver's license. Experience from the tourism industry, conferences, congresses, hotels, events or experience-based businesses is a merit.
