About the Role
As Department Manager, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations and development of the turning operations department. You lead the work close to the operation with focus on delivery precision, quality, efficiency, and a safe work environment.
The role combines operational leadership with strategic elements, where you actively contribute to developing both working methods and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, allocate, and follow up on daily work within the department
Drive daily management and ensure clear follow-up of plans, deviations, and corrective actions
Responsible for planning and capacity management in close collaboration with planning/logistics
Ensure that procedures, standards, and working methods are followed
Lead, coach, and develop employees and create a good work climate
Develop and lead change initiatives within the department
Your Profile
We are looking for you – a present and clear leader with good technical understanding and experience from manufacturing industry.
We see that you have:
Leadership experience in industrial production
Experience in planning, capacity management, and daily management
Good technical understanding, preferably within mechanical machining
Experience in occupational health and safety work and risk assessments
Experience in machinery maintenance and tracking operational disruptions
Meritorious:
Post-secondary education in technology, production, or leadership
Experience in continuous improvement work and investment processes
Knowledge of maintenance strategies and machinery investments
