The Department for Strategic Community Development is part of the Community Development Office under the Municipal Executive Board. Here, conditions are created for long-term sustainable community development in the municipality through assignments in strategic community planning, ecological sustainability with focus on climate, nature and water, as well as social sustainability through, for example, public health and crime prevention issues. The employees have high expertise and great commitment to the municipality's development.

DUTIES
As a manager, you lead and engage the department's employees towards the municipality's goals. You create structure, direction, and good conditions for operations. By leveraging and coordinating the department's competencies, you strengthen the strategic work and delivery. The assignment also includes contributing to common working methods for developing, implementing, and following up strategic governing documents.
Main duties:
• Participate in the Community Development Office's management group and contribute to the overall development of operations
• Lead, plan, and follow up operations based on set goals, assignments, and budget
• Develop a sustainable work environment with focus on inclusion, equality, and participation
• Work on improving, renewing, and transforming operations in accordance with the corporation-wide work in the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
We believe that you as an applicant are a strategic, communicative, and development-oriented leader with the ability to create results through others. You have a strong drive and ability to lead complex community development issues. Through a coaching leadership style, you get others to grow and work together both within and outside the organization. You are goal- and results-oriented and have the ability to ensure delivery from operations that contributes to the whole.
We are looking for someone who has:
• University or college education within the community development field or similar
• Experience in management positions
• Experience working with strategic community development issues
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience working with innovation
• Experience working with organizational transformation
• Experience leading teams with broad expertise and multiple different areas of expertise
• Experience from municipal operations
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and will make a comprehensive assessment of your combined competencies.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Form of employment: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01 Start date by agreement.
