About the Position The Support and Service Functions business area was newly established following a major reorganization in 2025, and we are in the midst of an important establishment and development phase where you will be a key player. The assignment encompasses operational, financial, personnel, and work environment responsibility. You will lead 8 unit managers and have overall responsibility for approximately 190 employees and approximately 50 consultants. Your assignment includes: Leading and coordinating a cohesive environment for the region's internal support and service functions Ensuring availability, quality, and lifecycle management Driving change management and implementing goals and effects of the reorganization for a long-term sustainable organization Actively participating in steering committees for strategic projects and other regional forums The role involves extensive networking and collaboration – both within your own operations and with the departments. You report to the Director of Digitalization for the Corporate IT and Digitalization office (KsD) and are part of the management group for the entire KsD, where you contribute to the whole while driving and developing your own operations. In your assignment, you have support from a controller, HR partner, and administrator, as well as shared functions within KsD. Your workplace is in pleasant and modern facilities at the Region's headquarters in central Gothenburg. About Us Support and Service Functions is part of the Västra Götaland Region's corporate office for IT/digitalization. The business area is responsible for developing and managing services and products to support region-wide processes, such as those for finance, HR, archive and information management, purchasing/logistics/facilities, as well as collaboration platforms and telecommunications. The assignment also includes responsibility for services and products used internally within KsD. We are at an exciting stage – moving toward a more cohesive and agile IT and digitalization organization.
