Medical Centre Southern Lapland is one of the clinics at Lycksele Hospital, which is a well-equipped acute care hospital. It is a stable and well-functioning clinic where our employees have good opportunities for combined positions and professional development. Our clinic vision is to provide good care with gentle hands, sharp minds, and warm hearts. The Rehabilitation Stroke Unit is part of Medical Centre Southern Lapland and is one of two care units. The clinic employs approximately 160 staff members across various professions. The Rehabilitation Stroke Unit has approximately 40 employees, in the professional categories of nurses and nursing assistants. Our clinic values good cooperation and job satisfaction both within the unit and with other clinics and hospitals. The unit operates 24 hours a day. We are now seeking a Department Manager for the Rehabilitation Stroke Unit. 1 position(s). Being Department Manager of the unit represents a unique opportunity to lead a broad specialized and rehabilitation operation, where several important medical areas are included, creating a work environment where you as a manager lead a complex and exciting whole. In your role, you work for the operations to develop and change within given frameworks and decisions. You are responsible for making visible and developing staff competence, further developing work methods and procedures. The assignment includes responsibility for personnel, operations, work environment, and budget, and you represent the employer by leading and developing toward the Region's decided goals for the best outcome. The clinic's management consists of an Operations Manager, an Assistant Operations Manager, four Department Managers, and Medical Directors. You will work closely with section leaders, fellow managers, and doctors, which creates good conditions for rewarding collaborations and valuable collegial support. Together you are responsible for the operations' goals and mission. You will also have close collaboration with HR partners, controllers, and other support functions. QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in this role, we expect you to be driven, courageous, and responsible. With open communication, you try new approaches and, together with employees and other units at Medical Centre, demonstrate good collaborative skills. As a leader, you are responsive and confident, you promote a positive collaborative climate, and you are clear in your communication. For this role, we are looking for someone who has: • Relevant university degree or equivalent education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is also an advantage if you have: • Previous leadership experience with personnel responsibility. • Work experience from health and medical care. • Completed the Region's leadership program Tomorrow's Managers or other leadership training. • Knowledge of the systems TESSA, Cosmic, Power BI, and Visma. Employment Type: Permanent position. The assignment as manager within Region Västerbotten is a time-limited appointment typically for 4 years, which is combined with a permanent position within your area of competence.
