We offer you a stimulating position as department manager at the Women's Clinic with many points of contact. Approximately 1,500 deliveries are performed each year, and we handle deliveries from pregnancy week 30. Collaboration with other activities within the Women's Clinic is important, such as maternal health services, gynecology, specialist maternal health/ultrasound clinic, Amanda (unit for birth anxiety). The postpartum unit also has an outpatient clinic. A coordinator is present at the delivery unit during day and evening shifts. Our staff are competent and experienced, and the Women's Clinic has maintained a process-oriented approach for many years, where you will play an important role in continued development work. Each unit has a care developer with whom you, as department manager, will work closely. There is also a staffing assistant for the entire clinic to support your management, for example with scheduling and short-term absences. As department manager, you are responsible for the work environment and are expected to lead, plan, and develop operations in close collaboration with the operations manager, fellow department managers, and staff. You are part of the leadership team at the Women's Clinic and report directly to the operations manager. The role includes personnel responsibility for approximately 45 employees in a department within the Women's Clinic. The management position is time-limited, and we offer permanent employment in the organization based on your basic profession. We consist of three different areas: Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Maternal Health Services. The gynecology department focuses on gynecological diseases and treatments as well as early pregnancy complications up to and including pregnancy week 21. Gyn Ward 5 has 6 care beds and 4 day care beds. At the delivery/postpartum unit, mothers and children are cared for in connection with delivery and pregnant women with pregnancy complications from pregnancy week 22. Maternal health services consist of pregnancy monitoring, parent groups, contraceptive advice, gynecological screening, and youth activities. We operate at midwife clinics, youth clinics, and family centers, totaling 14 clinics. In addition, there is also specialist maternal care that performs most ultrasound examinations/ultrasound screening during pregnancy and cares for pregnant women with complicating medical conditions. Länssjukhuset in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar län. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, delivery care, and postpartum services. More than 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the residents of the region.
