Internal Logistics is part of Region Västerbotten's Logistics Organization, which is responsible for procurement and distribution of goods, services, and equipment with a combined value of several billion per year. We are in the midst of a comprehensive transformation effort, with several ongoing development projects, aimed at improving and securing material supply to Region Västerbotten's operations. At Internal Logistics, we want to enable more time for Health and Medical Care through smart service solutions, expanded service offerings, and digitalization. We are responsible for goods receipt, waste management, distribution of medications, food, and textiles, as well as furniture relocation at Region Västerbotten's three hospitals in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are now seeking a department manager who looks forward to leading a cohesive team at Skellefteå Hospital. Your placement will be in Skellefteå and you will report directly to the Head of Operations for Logistics. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a department manager with us, you see the bigger picture and potential and take us boldly forward. You take responsibility for your operations within your authority and represent the employer by leading and developing toward decided goals for the Region's benefit. You act as a role model and challenge, develop, encourage, and make your employees visible to promote participation, engagement, and job satisfaction. Your role as department manager includes responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment, as well as the administration that comes with these areas of responsibility. You will plan, lead, and follow up on daily work within the section and are responsible for a team of approximately 12 employees. The department may be expanded with additional staff as new assignments are taken over. Through close leadership, you create capacity for action and leverage your employees' knowledge and experience. You work for a positive collaborative climate and feel great commitment to your employees' success in their assignments. Together with the Head of Operations and Logistics Developer, you will work on strategic and tactical operational improvements. You will be part of the base unit logistics management group. QUALIFICATIONS You have a university education or equivalent competence acquired through education and experience. We want you to have experience from operative leadership positions that have included personnel and work environment responsibility. Since we are on a transformation journey, we also want you to have experience in development and change work, and to have high digital competence. To succeed in this work, you need good ability to collaborate and adapt easily to changing circumstances. You are self-driven and structured. You will have many contact points, which requires good communicative and pedagogical ability. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license, as travel within the region may occur. Employment Type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start: By agreement. The role as manager within Region Västerbotten is a time-limited appointment typically for 4 years, combined with permanent employment within your area of expertise.
