About Your Assignment As Department Head for Budget, Monitoring and Analysis, you are responsible for Västra Götalandsregionen's processes within planning, budgeting and monitoring. A large part of the assignment involves developing governance so that operations achieve the goals decided by the regional council. You have twelve experienced employees who, in their roles as controllers and strategists, lead, develop and coordinate the processes and monitor the region's collective operations. Your main areas of responsibility: Responsibility for personnel and work environment, finances and operational planning for the department Keeping together the planning and budgeting process for departments and politics, which also includes goals and operational priorities Responsibility for processes regarding monitoring, compilation and analysis, and to clarify and package core messages based on complex information materials Collaborate in a broad contact network with politics, departments and other internal partners Own and manage the corporate investment plan Responsibility for long-term forecasts and calculations for VGR's long-term finances You report to the Finance Director and are part of the management group for operational monitoring, finances and procurement, where you together with others in the management group drive development issues within finances as well as within planning and monitoring for the entire corporation. Your base location is in pleasant and modern facilities in Region House in central Gothenburg, with good opportunities to combine with remote work. About You You have: A university degree in economics, public administration or another relevant field Substantial management experience with responsibility for operations, finances and personnel Experience working with planning, monitoring and analysis of operations in a large and complex organization Experience with close collaboration with politics in a public organization Knowledge of economic governance models You are a secure and stable leader who inspires calm and confidence, even in uncertain situations. With a coaching and present approach, you support your employees in current matters and priorities, while maintaining a clear long-term direction. You have the ability to create clarity in challenging contexts and translate multifaceted information into clear and relevant messages. By being responsive and relationship-building, you contribute to good collaboration throughout the organization. You are action-oriented, drive work forward and have a curious and development-focused approach, with a willingness to understand contexts and further develop working methods and processes.
