Responsibilities In the role of Head of Division, you are responsible for the accreditation of currently approximately 1,250 accredited companies, government agencies, and other organizations throughout Swedish society and abroad. The operations as Sweden's national accreditation body are carried out by approximately 60 permanent employees plus approximately 350 consultant-procured experts. As Head of the Accreditation Division, you are the direct line manager for the division's four unit managers as well as a few additional staff members in support functions. You lead the division's work and are responsible for developing the division and safely guiding it through the complex period of change that all of society is undergoing. In this role, you will have extensive contact networks both internally and externally, for example with member and industry organizations and other government agencies. The division also has contact points with our counterparts in other countries within and outside the EU as well as with international organizations. As Head of Division, you are part of Swedac's management and report to the Director General. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: University or college education that the employer considers relevant to the assignment Experience managing managers and operations toward good results Multiple years of experience with strategic business and budget work in the public sector Experience with business development, digitalization, and leading change initiatives Good knowledge of the socioeconomic big picture Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is a merit if you have: Special knowledge of quality work in one of the sectors in which Swedac operates Knowledge of state operations, primarily supervisory activities You should be a communicative leader with a strategic approach, and your leadership should stand for clarity and integrity. The agency operates in a large number of areas and contributes to trust in everyday life. Swedac is the national accreditation body for Sweden, coordinates Swedish market surveillance, and is responsible for matters concerning measuring instruments and precious metals. In all areas, Swedac has international responsibilities. Instructions and regulatory letters from the government as well as legislation and agreements in Europe and globally govern the agency's operations. Swedac is under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and reports to the Minister for Foreign Trade, who is also responsible for Nordic affairs.
