Typical Security Officer Tasks As a mobile security officer, you work to prevent risks and strengthen security for our customers. You drive a vehicle within your assigned area and conduct inspections such as ensuring alarms are activated, doors and windows are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and no unauthorized persons are present. Alarm responses are an important part of the work, where you quickly and professionally handle various types of incidents. Surveillance occurs both indoors and outdoors, usually at night, and you work independently in shifts. For stationary security services, you are placed at the customer's location and work tasks can vary – from reception work and patrols to staffing monitoring centers. Your presence and service skills are essential for creating a sense of security and providing good customer service. Qualifications Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe in various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to be qualified for this position: be at least 18 years old before starting the assignment high school competency strong Swedish, spoken and written basic English, spoken driver's license category B You also need to be crime-free*, drug-free, have orderly finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be hired at Avarn Security. Security officer training is a merit for these positions. Other meritable qualifications include experience working in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and prior experience working in public environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and advance in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we will provide your training! Security officer training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA, the Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a condition of employment.
