As a security guard at Avarn Security, you'll have an exciting day-to-day role where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of safety and promote a more secure environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring facilities, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can include everything from alarm responses and access control to reporting deviations and collaborating with police or other authorities. Qualifications In addition to the personal qualities we're looking for and have described, you need to meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position: Upper secondary school education Good Swedish in speech and writing Driver's license category B To be considered for the position, you must be at least 18 years old by your start date. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which restrict minors' ability to perform tasks in security and guarding-related operations. You also need to be of good character*, drug-free, have orderly finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be hired at Avarn Security. Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and you progress in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we'll cover your training costs! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA Bevakningsbranschens Yrkes- och Arbetsmiljönämnd. Participation in this training is a requirement for employment.
