As a security guard, you'll help protect functions vital to society. We're looking for someone who wants to work in a high-security role where attention to detail and collaboration are key. In your role as a security guard, you'll prevent and manage security risks at protected facilities. Work Hours: Varying Work Location: Upplands Väsby Duration: Full-time, part-time, and permanent positions as needed (6-month probation applies) Start Date: By agreement Job Duties: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized persons don't gain access to protected areas. In this role, you'll work as a security guard in a monitoring center where you'll handle incoming alarms, monitor cameras, and other technical security systems. More information will be provided during the interview. Both armed and unarmed positions are available. Qualifications: We're looking for someone with personal maturity who feels confident in the security guard role. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should have a strong security mindset and social competence. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. For certain positions, a security clearance, enhanced background check, and security interview will be conducted. Requirements: In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position: high school diploma good Swedish language skills, spoken and written Class B driver's license civil security guard training (or military security guard training**, completed from 2016 or later) Meritorious qualifications: security guard training (VU1 + VU2) weapons training We place great importance on your personal maturity when assessing suitability for the position. To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 18 years old by your first day of employment. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, Chapter 8 and Appendix 2, which restrict minors' ability to perform work tasks in security and protection-related activities. The position is classified as a security position and is subject to security clearance under Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For certain security clearance levels, Swedish citizenship is required under security protection legislation. Additionally, you must have a clean criminal record*, be drug-free, have sound finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be hired by Avarn Security.
