About the Position As an Automation Technician, you'll become part of an experienced and skilled team within electrical systems, automation and maintenance. The role is broad and varied, perfect for you if you enjoy combining automation, problem-solving and mechanics, and if you thrive close to production. You'll work with both urgent interventions and troubleshooting when something needs to be solved quickly, as well as with preventive maintenance, optimization and development of production equipment. Location: Bromölla Employment Type: Direct Recruitment Working Hours: Initially day shift, transitioning shortly to 5-shift system (Morning 06:00-14:00, Evening 14:00-22:00, Night 22:00-06:00, Weekend Night 18:00-06:00, and Holiday 06:00-18:00) Your Responsibilities Troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance to minimize production disruptions PLC work and optimization of control systems Working from electrical drawings and technical documentation Installation and commissioning of equipment Participation in technical development and improvement projects Efficiency and optimization of processes and production equipment Contributing your technical expertise and ideas to develop maintenance work Since 2015, the factory has exclusively used Siemens control systems, providing a modern and unified automation environment. About You We're looking for someone with a technical background in automation and a genuine interest in mechanics. You need practical and theoretical understanding of mechanics and enjoy tackling electrical, automation-related and mechanical problems. You're curious, solution-oriented and like understanding how things work – from individual components to entire production lines. Most importantly, you enjoy getting things to work and finding lasting solutions. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Formal Qualifications Upper secondary education in electrical/automation or equivalent At least 4–5 years of relevant work experience Good experience with PLC and control systems Ability to read and understand electrical drawings Knowledge of mechanics and a strong mechanical interest Meritorious Qualifications Post-secondary education in electrical/automation or equivalent Knowledge of electrical systems About Geberit Geberit Group is the market leader in Europe for sanitary products.
