About the Project Manager Role in Building Automation As a project manager, you'll be a frontline representative for our customers, working to create smart, energy-efficient, and sustainable properties. You're responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing control and monitoring systems that ensure operational reliability, comfort, and reduced energy consumption. Your Responsibilities A project manager in building automation is responsible for planning, leading, and following up on automation projects. The role involves ensuring that technical solutions are installed and function according to requirements, while keeping the project on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality goals. Your tasks include coordinating and serving as a central point of contact throughout the entire project lifecycle. The project manager is responsible for engineering, procurement, scheduling, and resource allocation. You'll also monitor installations, commissioning, and verify that systems function as intended. The role also includes working with documentation, risk management, and quality assurance, as well as ensuring the project meets applicable laws, standards, and customer requirements. Often, a technical interest and understanding of modern automation systems and digital solutions in real estate is also required. The project manager needs strong communication skills, be organized and solution-oriented, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role includes among other things: • Engineering and design • Material procurement • Project economics (budget, forecasts, change orders) • Contact with subcontractors for installation and control cabinets • Time and resource planning in projects • Lead or participate in coordinated function tests and inspections • Customer contact • Sales We believe you: • Have a genuine interest in building automation and technology • Enjoy working in a team, but also have the ability to plan and act independently • Are a team player who contributes to both colleagues and customers • Value organization and order, take responsibility, and have good communication skills • See service as a natural part of your work • Have at least three years of experience in building automation Maybe you've worked as an automation engineer and feel it's time to take the next step in your career as a project manager with us.
