Company Profile For our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, we are now seeking an Automation Engineer specializing in control systems for an assignment at their site in Finspång. The company, thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the market's current and future needs. Through this assignment, you will have the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment where development opportunities are abundant. This is initially a 6-month consulting assignment via Unik Resurs with excellent possibilities for extension or conversion to a permanent position. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility As an Automation Engineer in Control Systems, you will become part of the company's migration team within Mods & Ups, where you work on technically complex modernization and upgrade projects for gas and steam turbines. The role involves varied technical work where you are involved in multiple parts of the process – from installation and configuration to development, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems. You will work in an international and technically advanced environment with knowledgeable colleagues, with good opportunities to develop your expertise in control systems, automation, and IT/OT. Your main tasks include: • Installing and configuring SIMATIC PCS 7 systems. • Implementing cybersecurity solutions for control systems and associated IT/OT environments. • Designing and developing control systems based on project-specific requirements. • Testing control systems prior to delivery to ensure quality and functionality. • Configuring and troubleshooting network communication between control systems and external devices. • Contributing technical solutions in modernization and upgrade projects. Your Profile We are looking for someone with a technical background and an interest in automation, control systems, and IT/OT. To be suitable for the role, we see that you have: • Technical post-secondary education, such as an engineering degree or equivalent relevant education. • Good knowledge of IT/OT and computer systems. • Experience with SIMATIC PCS 7 and/or commissioning of gas turbines. • Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have previous experience in design, development, or configuration of control systems.
