Company Description: SCA Job Description: Your Next Challenge As an automation engineer, you hold a central and broad role in ensuring operational reliability, efficiency, and long-term development of the company's automation and OT systems. You are responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining control systems such as PLCs and DCS, and you drive improvements through analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of processes and OT environments. The work is conducted in close collaboration with operations, maintenance, project organization, IT/OT, and external suppliers, where you contribute as a technical specialist and participate in or lead projects. The role encompasses both operational work, such as commissioning and troubleshooting, and strategic work with system standardization, investments, and technical development. You perform risk analyses, participate in lifecycle management of OT systems, and coordinate external specialists. You also ensure that solutions are reliable, standardized, and well-documented, and that backup, redundancy, and recovery procedures work effectively. The role includes work with documentation, procedures, and supplier contacts, development of cybersecurity and robustness in OT infrastructure, and support and training to operations and maintenance organizations. On-call duty may be part of the position. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with engineering education in automation or electrical engineering, or alternatively several years of relevant experience in the field. You have experience working with automation and OT systems in an industrial environment and good knowledge of PLC or DCS systems. You are accustomed to working in a structured manner and have good documentation skills. The role requires that you are comfortable with both operational work and development projects, and have good knowledge of electrical safety and industrial networks. Experience with lifecycle management (LCM) of OT systems is also a requirement. It is advantageous if you have experience from larger process industry, as well as knowledge of industrial networks and cybersecurity within OT. Experience with advanced process control, such as APC (Advanced Process Control) or model-based regulation, is also a plus. Competence in electrical design or instrumentation engineering, as well as experience in project management or investment projects, is viewed positively. Furthermore, experience with SAP, such as S4/HANA or earlier versions, and SiteBase is advantageous.
