Working at Cummins in Lindesberg means you get the best of both worlds: the familiar atmosphere and security of a local company, combined with the career opportunities and resources available in a global corporation.
Responsibilities
Your main focus is to ensure high availability in production through active maintenance and rapid troubleshooting during acute stoppages. The role is fundamentally operational and technical with an emphasis on problem-solving rather than software development. The machine fleet consists of around 100 machines, both older and more modern ones. The role also involves extensive collaboration with other departments, such as working closely with production teams to solve complex problems where mechanics and electricity meet.
You will work operationally with both acute troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in our machine fleet consisting of around 100 machines. The focus is on problem-solving and collaboration with our production teams.
The role includes:
Systematically troubleshoot industrial machines, processing machines, and robot cells by reading electrical schematics and interpreting machine alarms.
Troubleshoot control systems (Siemens TIA Portal and Sinamics). You don't need to write code from scratch, but you should be able to read, understand, and make minor optimizations.
Work with installation, assembly of electrical cabinets, cable routing, and commissioning of new machine cells.
Perform safety-critical work with high voltage (400V up to 10kV).
With us, you get the right conditions to grow and work safely. We fund and conduct ongoing certifications you need, such as electrical safety (NERCA), machine safety (DEKRA), and forklift certification.
Other details:
Work schedule: 2-shift.
Employment type: Permanent full-time position (begins with a 6-month trial period).
Agreement: Collective agreement via IF Metall.
Start date: Immediate.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Genuine technical understanding combined with relevant electrical background and a natural aptitude for logical troubleshooting.
Relevant electrical education - upper secondary or vocational college (YH) with electrical focus.
Good technical understanding and ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics and work logically with troubleshooting electrical systems.
Good knowledge of Siemens control systems (TIA Portal, Sinamics).
Good Swedish in speech and writing.
To excel in the role, we would like to see that you recognize yourself in the following:
CNC & Machining: If you have experience with, or knowledge of, machine manufacturers such as Okuma, MAchak, or Fanuc, this is a merit.
Robotics: Experience with industrial robots (for example ABB) is highly valued.
Control systems: You have good knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and Sinamics.
