MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE (Registration No. 90000064161) announces an open competition for a permanent vacancy of an Auditor position in the Certification Division of the Audit Department: If you have a strong sense of responsibility, a desire to learn and acquire new knowledge, the ability to plan your work and prioritize, apply and become part of the Ministry of Agriculture team working on certification audits for the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. 1 (profession classifier code 2411 05) Your main duties will be to certify the management and control systems established by the responsible authorities and provide an independent assessment of their compliance and effectiveness in accordance with the specified requirements. Requirements for candidates: must meet the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education (State Internal Auditor Certificate required); at least three years of work experience in audits, reviews, controls, or management related to EU-financed programs within the last 10 years; work experience in public administration within the last 10 years; knowledge and understanding of internal controls, system audits, and risk analysis; knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of EU legislation on management and control systems for EU-financed programs; understanding of EU legislation governing administration, conditions, and their practical application; familiarity with the basic principles of accounting and financial management; good Latvian written language skills and business correspondence competence; good skills in working with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office Outlook, and web browsers; good communication skills and ability to work in a team; desired English language knowledge (working with EU documents). To fulfill the duties of the position, the official: must use a self-certified national electronic identification solution, i.e., eParaksts mobile, eParaksts eID.
