Jelgavas novada pašvaldība announces a competition for the position of Auditor at Jelgavas novada Central Administration
Main job responsibilities:
provide independent, professional and objective assessment of the audited unit's compliance with laws, proper and lawful use of financial and other resources, quality and effectiveness of the internal control system, reliability and sufficiency of information, and alignment of operations with specified tasks and approved action plans;
compile audit results, prepare written findings, conclusions, and recommendations;
implement and monitor corruption risk assessments and anti-corruption plans for municipal institutions and capital companies, providing methodological support in developing risk assessments and plans;
ensure capital company oversight by providing consulting on capital company governance matters and preparing necessary documentation for the capital holder;
conduct financial statement analysis of capital companies.
Requirements for applicants:
higher education in economics, finance, management, law, or higher education in another field of social sciences;
at least 2 years of work experience in audit work or experience in economics, finance or accounting;
ability to analyze and compile diverse, complex information;
ability to communicate professionally and practically both verbally and in writing in the state language;
ability to draw objective and substantiated conclusions;
very good skills (experienced user level) in using MS Office programs (Word, Excel) and presentation and data visualization programs (Power Point, Canva, etc.).
