The specialists are audiologists, deaf consultants, and vision specialists. East Region is now seeking two audiologists for placement in Jönköping or Kalmar and Linköping or Norrköping. Job Description The audiologist's role within the Swedish Public Employment Service focuses on being an active part of labor market policy assessment. In all contacts with job seekers, we take a supportive and guiding approach. Documentation is an important and recurring element of the work tasks. The work requires active collaboration both internally and externally. The audiologists' task is to assess job seekers' abilities for work or studies and assess the need for accommodations in work/studies. Interpretation of medical documentation, assessing the need for and testing out work aids. The Swedish Public Employment Service places strong emphasis on digital development, which permeates all aspects of our work. Therefore, it is very important that you have both the willingness and ability to use digital tools. The work also includes collaborating with various partners such as the Social Insurance Agency, hearing care services, education providers, and employers. Travel is a natural part of the position and occurs frequently. You should also be prepared for travel that may involve overnight stays at another location. Our Offer The position is a permanent full-time employment that may be initiated with a six-month probationary period. The placement location is Jönköping or Kalmar and Linköping or Norrköping. Basic Requirements for the Position Audiologist degree and licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare Good knowledge of working conditions for people with hearing impairments, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity Experience assessing/examining hearing ability Experience with compensatory aids for people with hearing impairments Good knowledge of how accommodations, both technical and work environment-related, can improve conditions for people with hearing impairments in a work or study situation Driver's license category B Additional Merits for the Position Experience working with people with deafblindness Experience conducting motivational and solution-focused conversations The state's values guide us in our daily work.
