Description of Hearing Services Hearing Services provides habilitation/rehabilitation for people with hearing loss, deafness, or deafblindness. The goal of our operations is to create conditions for people with disabilities to live a good life and achieve full participation in society based on their own choices. In Alternative Telephony, we work in teams consisting of different professional competencies such as audiologists, hearing engineers, and assistants. We take a holistic approach where patients are involved in all planning of support and measures from us. We work with telephone aids for people with deafness, deafblindness, hearing loss, speech impairment, or language disorders. Alternative Telephony is a regional team and we have offices in Vänersborg and Gothenburg. The position is based in Gothenburg but work also takes place in Vänersborg. Job Responsibilities We are looking for a licensed audiologist who wants to work on creating functional technical solutions for alternative telephony and communication aids. With us, you will have a varied role where you work through the entire process from the first meeting to follow-up. You will, among other things: Assess needs and find the right solutions together with the patient Test, prescribe, and follow up text and video telephones as well as other aids Install equipment and provide educational support in its use You are part of a team where you collaborate on patient care and together develop working methods and operations. You meet patients at the clinic, remotely, or at home visits, which provides variety in your daily work. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed audiologist who wants to contribute to a team where collaboration and development are in focus. You have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing and feel confident in your professional role. As a person, you are responsible, independent, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You enjoy collaborating with different professions and see the value in teamwork. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as an audiologist in diagnostics and rehabilitation. We would like to see that you can communicate in sign language and have experience with the systems Auditbase, NOAH, and Melior. A B driving license is an advantage as travel is part of the position. We place great importance on personal suitability.
