JOB DUTIES We are seeking 8 AT physicians for spring 2027 with start dates of March 1 and May 31. The general practice training is 18 months, with the first 4.5 months covering operating specialties, primarily at Centralsjukhuset in Kristianstad (CSK). Service in acute care emergency at the beginning of AT for 4.5 months occurs partly non-linearly under acute clinic responsibility (daytime and evening) as well as linearly bound surgery and medicine during respective service periods (weekends and nights). During 4.5 months at the medical clinic in Hässleholm, you serve in the general medicine department, stroke and rehabilitation department, and in the admission and monitoring department. You also participate in our medical on-call service 24/7. The back-up on-call physician is always present at the hospital when you are on call. During your three-month psychiatric training period, you are stationed in Hässleholm daytime, with on-call duties in Kristianstad. The six-month general medicine service is conducted at one of the health centers in the surrounding area. Overarching orientation and ongoing theoretical training are provided jointly with CSK. Trauma training, acute care training, and a course on sick leave practices as well as various themed days are examples of the competency development we offer. Participation in reflection groups throughout AT is offered but voluntary. All AT physicians are offered participation in Region Skåne's AT conference at Ystad Saltsjöbad. To ensure your AT is well-planned and functioning smoothly, there is a team consisting of an AT chief, overarching study director, and administrative support at your disposal. In addition to these, each clinic has an AT-responsible physician and a personal mentor who ensures you receive good mentoring. Our primary task during your 18 months of service is to provide you with strong clinical competence that follows the learning objectives for AT physicians. Previous service as a junior physician in Swedish healthcare is advantageous. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is required. Applicants with education outside the EU must, before starting AT service, have completed the course on Society and Legal Knowledge/Legal Knowledge with a passing grade. However, the course does not need to be completed before the interview. We recruit AT physicians with the hospital's future competency supply in focus and therefore attach great importance to your personal maturity, judgment, empathy, and collaboration skills in addition to formal qualifications. Furthermore, we see that you are engaged, initiative-taking, communicative, and that you have leadership qualities. Local ties may be advantageous. NOTE! If you do not yet have a degree certificate, attach a Ladok transcript or equivalent. * If you have studied medicine abroad, attach a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare that you are eligible to apply for AT and a certificate that your Swedish language skills correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale (unless you completed your secondary education in Sweden). * If you have a valid work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency that enables AT service, attach this. We hold interviews on October 8.
