Asset Management Engineer – Outokumpu, Avesta
Do you want to help shape the future of maintenance work in an international industrial corporation? At Outokumpu in Avesta, we are now looking for an Asset Management Engineer who wants to combine technology, training, and continuous improvement – and who thrives in a role where quality, structure, and collaboration are central.
About the Role
In this role, you will become a key person in our efforts to develop and manage our maintenance system and Asset Management processes. You work closely with the business, train users, and ensure that data in the system is of high quality so that the organization can make well-informed decisions.
You will be the one who brings everything together: from helping planners and engineers with correct work orders to ensuring that external contractors have the right permissions and data. At the same time, you play an important role in driving improvements that contribute to shorter lead times, smaller backlogs, and more efficient production.
Your work tasks will include:
Training employees in our processes and in the maintenance system.
Ensuring data quality in the system and making sure that both new and existing users have the correct information registered.
Supporting external contractors in system management.
Monitoring the system to detect and address known user errors.
Ensuring that procurement and work orders are handled correctly.
Working with our BI reports – creating new ones, improving existing ones, and extracting data for analyses.
Contributing to the development and improvement of our Asset Management processes.
You work closely with planners, schedulers, RE engineers, and the project organization, with a shared goal: to create a stable, safe, and proactive production.
Who We Think You Are
You have a genuine interest in systems, data, and people – and you enjoy teaching. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, and comfortable with change. You are confident speaking to groups and enjoy seeing others grow in their competence.
We are looking for someone who has:
Engineering degree at university level
Experience with SAP PM
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Social competence and pedagogical ability
High personal energy and strong self-motivation
An open and solution-oriented mindset
