The Military Intelligence and Security Service (MUST) conducts defense intelligence activities and military intelligence and security services to support Swedish foreign, defense and security policy as well as mapping external threats to Sweden. About the Unit You will become part of MUST's Office of Operations Support, which consists of various functions and provides support to both internal and external actors. At the Office of Operations Support is the Department of Communications and Liaison, where the archives function is located. At the archives function, archivists work together with the coordinator for disclosure matters and secrecy review. Main Responsibilities We are looking for you who are a trained archivist and ready for new challenges. In your role as archivist, you will be part of a team where you together with your colleagues are responsible for archive services, working with both physical and digital documents. The tasks include maintaining, organizing and cataloging archive collections. The tasks also include developing and revising plans, descriptions, procedures and other governing documents, preservation and disposal reviews, as well as planning and following up on the unit's objectives. You will participate in projects and development work within information management and participate in the Swedish Armed Forces' digital development. As an archivist at MUST, you function as expert support to operations and an important part of this is coordinating substantive issues as well as educating and informing on archive and document management matters. You will, as needed, also work with disclosure matters and secrecy review. Qualifications Academic degree in a relevant subject area, including at least 60 credits in archival science Experience as an archivist, or alternatively experience that the employer considers equivalent Well-developed communication skills in speech and writing, in Swedish and English Merits Experience handling information subject to confidentiality Experience handling disclosure matters Experience with digital archive and development work in areas such as e-archives and document and case management systems Experience planning, implementing and evaluating training Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces or other public administration Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is thorough, structured and has a good sense of order. You have a good ability to plan, prioritize and deliver your tasks within set timeframes, even under short deadlines. You have good initiative and are solution and improvement focused, and have the ability to see long-term consequences. As a person you are also positive, unpretentious and flexible and you find it easy to create contacts, collaborate and build relationships with other people. Since the work involves handling classified security information, it is also required that you are responsible, have consistently high security awareness and high integrity.
