On behalf of the Swedish Transport Agency, we are now seeking an experienced and well-organized archivist for an extended consulting assignment in Gothenburg. Then this might be the right opportunity for you. About the Assignment The Swedish Transport Agency needs reinforcement for the Maritime Supervision section in Gothenburg. The assignment involves ensuring correct handling, organization, and final storage of the authority's archival materials as well as providing administrative support to the department. As an archivist, you will work independently with both operational and developmental tasks. The role involves ongoing contact with both internal and external parties and requires good service skills, organization, and attention to detail. Work Tasks In this role, you will, among other things: - Manage contacts with the central archive and coordinate logistics related to archival materials. - Prepare archive inventories and organize, appraise, and deliver materials to final storage. - Register, prepare, and close supervision cases. - Post invoices in the UBW accounting system. - Manage registry and archive maintenance. - Support managers and inspectors with administrative tasks. - Develop and ensure quality of processes and procedures in case and records management. - Handle other tasks within the section. We Are Looking For You If You have experience in archival work and enjoy working in a role where structure, accuracy, and responsibility are a natural part of your daily work. You are accustomed to working independently while appreciating collaboration and have an aptitude for building good relationships with both colleagues and external contacts. Since the assignment involves working in public sector operations, we expect that you have a solid understanding of the regulations and requirements governing government agencies' document and information management. To be suitable for this assignment, we see that you: - Have higher education or equivalent training and at least one year of experience with similar work, or alternatively at least three years of experience as an archivist. - Have practical experience from public sector operations. - Have experience with document and case management systems, for example Public360, W3D3, Platina, Lipax One, or Visual Arkiv. - Have good knowledge of MS Office. - Have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing public sector operations and records management. - Are familiar with standards such as OAIS, METS, PREMIS, and PAIMAS. - Communicate fluently in Swedish orally and in writing and have good ability to express yourself in English. As a person, you are service-oriented, solution-focused, and quality-conscious. You work methodically and have the ability to prioritize and create order even when multiple tasks are running in parallel. We also see that you have an interest in developing working methods and procedures and contribute with professional conduct in interactions with the department's various stakeholders. Assignment Information You need to be available for the assignment throughout the assignment period. The work is performed on-site at the Swedish Transport Agency and means you follow the authority's security requirements and guidelines. Security clearance and confidentiality agreement may be required. Valid identification must be available.
