About the assignment The assignment involves working with a large analog archive collection of approximately 2,300 shelf meters of documents. You will be organizing, cleaning, culling, and describing physical archive documents according to applicable regulations and internal procedures. You will work alongside other archive professionals but are expected to take independent responsibility, drive your work forward, and autonomously handle tasks related to organizing and describing archives. The assignment also involves practical work with physical archive material, which may include lifting, carrying, moving, and handling archive boxes, folders, and other documents in connection with organizing, cleaning, and describing. Scope and location Scope: 40 hours per week Start: IMMEDIATE End: January 30, 2028 Extension possibility: up to 6 months Work location: Stockholm On-site work: The assignment is performed primarily at an office in Stockholm. Some descriptive work may possibly be done remotely. Computer and workspace are provided on-site. You do not need to bring your own technical equipment for the assignment. Mandatory requirements To be considered for the role, you must meet all of the following requirements: · You have university or college studies in archival science comprising at least 40 credits/60 credits. · You have at least four years of professional experience in archives and information management. · You have experience working independently with assignments involving organizing and describing archives. · You have at least three years of documented professional experience organizing and describing analog archives, i.e., paper archives. · You have at least one year of documented professional experience from public administration or other activities governed by the Archives Act, the Public Access and Secrecy Act, RA-FS, or equivalent regulations. · You can work on-site in Stockholm for most of the assignment. · You can work full-time, 40 hours per week, from the assignment start date. · You are comfortable with practical work with physical archive material, including lifting, carrying, moving, and handling archive boxes, folders, and other documents. Merit requirements It is strongly advantageous if you have at least one year of professional experience organizing and describing technical documents. Alternatively, it is advantageous if you have experience from at least three assignments, where each assignment comprised at least three months, involving organizing and describing technical documents. Technical documents include, for example, documentation within public transit, infrastructure, technology, construction, vehicle documentation, drawings, project files, facility documents, operations and maintenance documentation, or similar. What we're looking for You are thorough, structured, and experienced in working methodically with large quantities of information. You have a strong understanding of how analog archives should be organized, cleaned, culled, and described, and you can translate regulations into practical archival work. You thrive in a long-term assignment where quality, persistence, and order are essential. You are self-motivated but collaborative, and you can communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
