The administration consists of municipal management and four departments: administration, HR, finance, and business and development. We currently have approximately 35 employees in the Municipal Administration, and the municipality as a whole has approximately 650 permanent employees. Sydnärkes Archive Unit is a collaboration between the municipalities of Lekeberg, Laxå, Askersund, Hallsberg, and Kumla, as well as Sydnärkes Municipal Association and Sydnärkes Education Association. Together, we work to ensure sustainable long-term information management and professional support to our member organizations. The unit currently consists of three archivists. The position is organizationally placed in the administration department of Lekeberg Municipality, but the work is conducted in close collaboration with all member organizations. This means you will work both strategically and operatively in several operations and have the opportunity to influence the development of archive and information management across the entire collaboration. 1 position(s). At Sydnärkes Archive Unit, you will combine traditional archival work with the development of modern information management and e-archives in close collaboration between seven public organizations. Sydnärkes Archive Unit is now seeking an engaged archivist who wants to combine classic archival work with the development of future digital information management. We are facing an exciting development phase where a future e-archive solution is to be investigated and implemented. Therefore, we are looking for you to help drive the development of digital information management. Work Tasks Sydnärkes Archive Unit is responsible for ensuring that member organizations' archives are preserved, maintained, and kept organized so that they serve the public's right to access public records, the operations' need for information, and research needs. As an archivist, you work with both daily archival work and development issues. You are responsible for releasing public records, archival descriptions, and archival transfers, and provide qualified support to operations on matters concerning information management. Each archivist has primary responsibility for a number of member organizations, while we work closely together and have common procedures to support each other. Several of our archive holdings are located at Arkivcentrum Örebro, which is an important collaboration partner. Over the coming years, work with e-archives will be one of the unit's most important development areas. You will therefore have an important role in investigating, planning, and implementing future digital archive solutions together with colleagues and member organizations. The position includes, among other things releasing public records receiving and carrying out archival transfers working with archive preservation and archival management providing advice and support to operations within archive and information management planning and conducting training participating in and driving development work within information management and e-archives contributing to projects and change work related to digital information management. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a higher education or university degree with at least 60 higher education credits in archival science or other relevant education in, for example, information management, information science, systems science, or equivalent competence that the employer deems equivalent experience in archive and information management, preferably within public operations good knowledge of the Archives Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) good understanding of digital information management, metadata, information structure, and business systems interest in e-archives, digital preservation, IT, and information security good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing B-class driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience with e-archives or digital archival transfers requirement specification, procurement, or implementation of business systems information classification and information security extraction, quality assurance, and migration of information from business systems project management, process development, or change work. You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work efficiently, and feel equally comfortable with practical archival work as with strategic development issues. You have a holistic perspective on information management and see the connection between legal certainty, information security, digitalization, and operational development. You are also interested in digital tools and see the possibilities with new technology. Travel within the member municipalities is part of the position. We place great importance on personal suitability.
