We are seeking an archaeobotanist for a permanent position at our office in Bromma, Stockholm.
Archaeobotanical analyses are now an integral part of most archaeological investigations. Together with other collected archaeological data, analyses of macro- and microfossils can contribute to a broader understanding of what preserved material remains represent, from cultural-historical, economic, ecological, and other perspectives.
As an archaeobotanist at Uppdrag arkeologi, you will work in close collaboration with other colleagues on various archaeological projects, as well as more broadly on knowledge and methodology development within your area of expertise. Your position thus forms an integrated part of the company's ongoing archaeological knowledge development. Our projects span all archaeological time periods, from the earliest Stone Age to historical times, and we undertake assignments throughout Sweden.
You have relevant education and preferably also practical experience working in Swedish contract archaeology. As a person, you are thorough and responsible, with strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. The work includes producing both scientific and popular texts, reports, and articles, as well as participating in conferences and seminars.
The workplace is our office in Bromma, but travel is part of the work, and we would appreciate it if you hold a driver's license.
As an employee at Uppdrag arkeologi, you will have the opportunity to participate in various forms of professional development, such as attending national and international subject-related conferences. We also offer wellness allowance and time for wellness activities during paid working hours. Our employer organization is called Sobona, and we have committed to following the collective agreement BÖK25.
Scope: Permanent position (full-time/39.5 hours/week). We apply a six-month probationary period.
Start date: By mutual agreement.
Workplace: Bromma, Stockholm. Shorter periods of work outside the workplace may occur.
For questions regarding the position, contact Richard Grönwall, CEO (phone 073 662 34 00, [email protected]) or Lars Andersson, Operations Manager (phone 073 662 34 01, [email protected]).
