Latvia Geospatial Information Agency (Reg. No. 90002065000) invites applications for ARCHIVIST Geospatial Information and Administration Documents Archive Main duties: Prepare and submit the administration documents reference system within specified deadlines for approval by the Expert Commission of the National Archives of Latvia; Prepare a draft consolidated destruction act for non-valuable documents within specified deadlines for further approval by the Expert Commission of the National Archives of Latvia; Ensure preservation, accessibility and use of the Agency's archive materials in multiple fields - geodesy, cartography, remote sensing, interdisciplinary materials in paper, hybrid and electronic format, implementing appropriate document and archive maintenance functions for materials not transferred for permanent state storage at the National Archives of Latvia; Process, describe, create, format and maintain reference registers for remote sensing, cartographic, geodetic, interdisciplinary materials in electronic, hybrid and paper format received from the Agency's structural units, according to the Agency's internal regulatory requirements, performing a complete cataloging cycle; Based on requests from Agency employees, compile and temporarily issue from the archive various subfonds - remote sensing, cartographic, geodetic and interdisciplinary materials for work purposes; Perform data control and filing of materials issued from and returned to the Agency's structural units according to fund ownership; Prepare and update cartograms according to fields and projects; Perform preventive protection of geospatial information fund materials, conduct existence verification, digitalization of geospatial materials. Requirements for candidates: Higher education in archival science, history or related specialty; Work experience in archiving or related specialty; Knowledge of regulatory acts on archive management; Proficiency with MS Office programs and office equipment; Russian language knowledge, necessary for work with archive documents; Knowledge in cartography field will be considered an advantage; Compliance with the requirements of the Law "On State Secrets."
