Welcome to Us Health and Care Team 5 is part of the health and care function in Jönköping Municipality, which consists of 13 interdisciplinary health and care teams and one home care team. We have specialist focus areas in psychiatry, palliative care, home rehabilitation, dementia, and functional disability care. Together, we are approximately 460 dedicated employees. Our service area covers Ekhagen, Kålgården, and Centrum öster. In the service area, there are three nursing homes: Bondbergets äldreboende, Dundrets äldreboende, and Kålgårdens äldreboende. Kålgårdsgatans servicebostad and the Short-term Care Rehabilitation Unit at Kålgården are also facilities that our team oversees. The work group operates from the team office at Asecs köpcenter and consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses/specialist nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation assistants, and a unit administrator. Your New Job As an occupational therapist, you will work with rehabilitation in people's homes, in ordinary and special housing, and in short-term care facilities. You will meet patients of different ages and life situations and have great freedom to independently structure your workday according to what suits the activities and you best. Your work tasks include conducting assessments, implementing and following up on rehabilitation measures based on individual rehabilitation needs, testing and prescribing assistive devices. When needed, you will guide and train relatives and home care/nursing staff. In your daily work, you collaborate with social benefit case managers, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, specialist nurses, and nursing assistants. Your Qualifications We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience from health and care services, we consider that meritorious. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. You also need to feel comfortable working in digital systems. A driver's license and experience driving a car are required, as travel is part of the position. The work requires physical mobility, as it takes place in home environments where unforeseen situations arise and must be solved in a manner appropriate to each situation. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works in a structured manner, and exercises good judgment in daily work. You are flexible and solution-oriented and feel comfortable adapting your work approach based on needs and circumstances.
