Children and Youth Rehabilitation is divided into two units where unit 1 focuses on cognitive disabilities and unit 2 on motor function disabilities. Your Responsibilities At Children and Youth Rehabilitation, we do work that makes a difference for many children and families. With us, no two days are the same depending on which patients we meet. We work together in teams with different professions around the patient. We also offer services for relatives and other networks. As an occupational therapist, you meet the child at the rehabilitation facility, at school, and at home. Our work includes assessments of activity and functional ability, followed by interventions in the form of training and compensatory measures. We conduct assistive device trials and environmental adaptations as well as education for children and their surroundings. As an occupational therapist, you plan your interventions independently in collaboration with the team and work closely with child assistive device consultants and technicians at the child assistive device center located in the same building. The profession actively works with developing work methods and professional development. With us, you get to work in interdisciplinary teams based on a holistic approach to interventions directed at children/young people with disabilities. At the start of your employment, you will participate in an introductory program that includes mentor support. Your Knowledge and Skills We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist and who enjoys working both independently and in a team. Collaboration is a central part of our operations, which requires that you have good collaborative skills and can cooperate both within and outside the organization as a natural part of your work. We would like to see that you have an interest in development work within your profession and are flexible and service-oriented in your work approach. We work throughout Värmland and travel regularly to our local offices. A driver's license is therefore a requirement and access to a company car is available.
