Welcome to Us Healthcare and Nursing Team 8 is part of the healthcare function in Jönköping Municipality, consisting of 13 multidisciplinary healthcare teams and one home care team. We have specialist focuses in psychiatry, palliative care, home rehabilitation, dementia, and disability care. Together, we are approximately 460 dedicated employees. Our catchment area includes Bottnaryd and surrounding areas, Bäckalyckan, Mariebo, Dalvik, Hisingstorp, Samset, and Skänkeberg. In the catchment area there are three elderly care facilities: Mogårdens äldreboende, Solstickegatans äldreboende, and Stattutgatans äldreboende. The work team operates from the office on Skeppsbron and consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses/specialist nurses, nursing assistants, and pharmacists. Your New Job As an occupational therapist, you will work with rehabilitation in the home, in ordinary and special housing. You meet patients of different ages and life situations and have great freedom to independently structure your workday based on what suits the activities and you best. Your tasks include making assessments, implementing and following up rehabilitation measures based on the individual's rehabilitation needs, testing and prescribing assistive devices. When needed, you guide and train relatives/home care/nursing staff. In your daily work, you collaborate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, specialist nurses/nurses, and nursing assistants. Your Expertise You are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience from healthcare and care activities, we consider that meritorious. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. You also need to feel confident working in digital systems. A B-category driving license and experience driving a car are requirements as travel is part of the job. The work requires physical mobility, as work takes place in home environments where situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a way adapted to the situation.
