As an occupational therapist at Arjeplog Municipality, you will work together with colleagues in the Health and Medical Care Unit to achieve safe and secure healthcare within Home Care and Special Housing. You will collaborate closely with physical therapists, nurses, unit managers, and nursing assistants. Together we create quality of life and make a difference for people every day. As one of the largest municipalities by area, our workplace extends many miles into the surrounding villages. No two days are the same, and every patient is unique.
The rehabilitation team consists of two physical therapists and two occupational therapists, so you always have support from colleagues. We are a group that works very well together, and this is reflected in our daily work. We have recently moved to new facilities, which also means we have exciting change initiatives ahead that you can help shape and influence.
As a licensed occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments, interventions, and assistive device prescriptions. You will also initiate, mentor, and train staff and family members so that occupational therapy interventions are adapted to the individual's abilities and circumstances, which requires flexibility and resourcefulness.
You manage your day independently and often work in a team with someone from the rehabilitation unit.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or is in the final year of occupational therapy training. Experience from similar work is a merit.
It is essential that you can work independently but also have the ability to collaborate with the care team around the patient. You need to be receptive and clear, and able to adapt your communication to the other party. We are seeking someone who is confident in yourself and values professional and good conduct. In this position, it is of utmost importance that you have a service-oriented approach.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
A driver's license and computer skills are required.

Arjeplog Municipality has decided on a salary bonus for those hired in a current shortage occupation on a permanent employment contract with an employment date after 2018-07-01. Occupational Therapist is currently a shortage occupation. To receive this bonus, you must be registered in Arjeplog Municipality during these 3 years. The salary bonus is paid when employment exceeds: 12 months with 15,000 kr, 24 months with 22,500 kr, and 36 months with 30,000 kr.
As well as the opportunity to apply for a relocation bonus, which means that someone with adequate qualifications who gets a job in a shortage occupation and registers in Arjeplog can receive a bonus. Maximum 30,000 kr after verified documentation.
The bonus is proportional to the employment level.
