Adult Rehabilitation in Örebro County offers habilitation and rehabilitation for adults with permanent disabilities. Our goal is to create conditions for increased independence, participation, and a functioning everyday life for the people we meet. We work in multidisciplinary teams where different competences collaborate around the patient's needs. Together with next of kin, personal assistants, municipal services, and other partners, we create interventions based on the individual's goals and life situation. Work Tasks This position is directed toward adults with intellectual disabilities, often in combination with autism and/or multiple disabilities. As an occupational therapist with us, you will have independent, varied, and stimulating work where you: Assess and investigate activity capacity and activity level. Plan, implement, and follow up occupational therapy interventions individually and in groups. Identify needs and teach strategies that facilitate everyday life. Test, prescribe, and follow up individually adapted assistive devices. Provide advice, information, and guidance to patients, next of kin, and staff. Contribute with consultation, training, and support to networks and other actors around the individual. Collaborate with colleagues within rehabilitation as well as external services and authorities. Our work areas include, among other things, cognition, cognitive support, and complex seating matters. An important part of the work is collaboration with other societal actors to create the best possible conditions for the patient. The position is based in Örebro, but the work also involves patient visits throughout the county, which provides varied and independent work. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a licensed occupational therapist. Have a good ability to work independently and take responsibility for planning and implementing your work. Enjoy collaboration and see the value of working in a team. Are proactive, solution-oriented, and see opportunities rather than obstacles. Have a genuine interest in supporting people toward increased participation and independence. It is meritorious if you have experience working with this target group or from habilitation services. The rehabilitation service has a countywide work area, and therefore a driver's license is a requirement for this position. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
