Make a difference. Every day. Do you want to work in an operation where development, variety, and job satisfaction are central? Are you stimulated by close collaboration with other professions and have a genuine interest in putting the patient at the center? Then you could be our next colleague! We are facing an exciting development where we are taking over an existing geriatric operation while expanding our assignment in SUS Hospital at Home. We are welcoming two new colleagues, one permanent position and a parental leave replacement for at least one year. Our operational area for emergency care and internal medicine in Malmö has its own rehabilitation unit shared with Lund. This includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and social workers. In total, we are 50 people. In Malmö, twelve occupational therapists, twelve physiotherapists, and four social workers work. We staff three internal medicine departments, the geriatric department, the emergency room, the acute care unit (AVA), the clinical teaching unit (KUA), and SUS Hospital at Home (SSH), which provides emergency care in the home. We are a large and broad operation under constant development where you as an occupational therapist have an well-established role and sought-after expertise in the interprofessional team. Together, we strive to provide the patient with the best possible care. For us, competency development is an important part of the work, and we believe that continuous learning creates conditions for long-term and developmental work. We have team leaders for each profession who serve as knowledge support in clinical work and create opportunities for individual development. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES In your role as an occupational therapist, you contribute your profession-specific expertise in assessment and continued rehabilitative interventions and measures. We actively work for person-centered care and collaborate with municipalities and primary care to ensure safe discharges for our patients. Your work is characterized by responsibility, participation, and teamwork. You work in close collaboration with the physiotherapist, and together you have important functions in the multidisciplinary team work around the patient. Throughout our entire operational area, you will meet multimorbid patients with a wide variety of medical conditions and diagnoses, including heart and lung diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, infections, and cognitive impairments. On our geriatric department, half of the beds are for orthopedic-geriatric patients. In the emergency room with its adjacent acute care units, your occupational therapy assessment is important as a decision support tool for the physician regarding discharge or admission. In SSH, patients are treated at home instead of being hospitalized. The patient is registered in inpatient care during the treatment period. As an occupational therapist, this means occupational therapy interventions both in the hospital setting and in the patient's home. We have strong commitment to supervising students, primarily in our KUA but also in our other departments. We welcome you if you share our interest in providing good supervision to future colleagues. We strive for an employee partnership where each employee is active in their own learning and has a desire to contribute to advancing the operation. We work to continuously improve and value initiative and new thinking. We offer good opportunities for competency development through both internal and external training, and you have the opportunity to develop within different areas of the operation. As a new member of our team, you will receive an individually adapted introduction to our operation and mentoring from an experienced colleague based on your needs. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday from 07:30-16:00, and every seventh Saturday from 07:30-14:20 with a day off the following week. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you if you are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare and have Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1. If you have completed supervisor training, this is a merit, as is experience working in a hospital with elderly multimorbid patients. Your personal qualities are very important for the position, and we are looking for someone with good ability to cooperate, communicate, and promote a good work environment. To succeed in the role, you have good empathetic ability and can work both independently and in a team, and have an interest in supervising students. You have a rehabilitative approach and can plan and prioritize while having the ability to quickly adapt to the operation's daily needs. It is important to be able to collaborate with different professional disciplines and have a holistic perspective with the patient at the center. You are responsible and have a drive to develop both yourself and the operation. We are concerned with finding the right person and place great emphasis on personal suitability.
